I bring to the tutorial my vast tutoring/teaching experience and my own knowledge and qualification in mathematics (1st Class Honours in Maths and Physics from UCL) and an ability to explain mathematics in the simplest possible way to my students. I enjoy discussion based teaching, whereby I engage students as much as possible through having conversations with them about the maths and the underlying techniques, explaining difficult concepts in everyday terms and drawing parallels with reality; thereby bringing the mathematics to life. I expect high standards of work from students and for this reason they achieve high grades. I spend time in understanding and keeping up to date with any changes in syllabus and assessment techniques. Having over 20 years’ experience in tutoring maths I am able to teach the entire GCSE and A Level maths syllabus from memory.
Students who engage well with the tutoring and commit to regular tutorials with me see great improvement and achieve excellent results, for this reason I have enjoyed positive feedback from students and parents, see testimonials of happy students and parents.
